There seems to be a bit of pressure to make the first post a great one, but rather than commenting on the packing process (apparently the rolling technique works best) I thought it best reassure you all that we both have travel insurance, we're jabbed up to the eyeballs and we even have a plan (well, of sorts!)...
We hope to use this blog to update you on our adventures, post pictures, and write home any tips for our team from Loughborough who are joining us for all 19,341 ft of the final challenge... KILIMANJARO!
Having heard horror stories of crocodiles, Kili, bungee-jumping, rhinos and Johannesburg I must admit to having slight butterflies! The next post will come to you from 5,000 miles away, how exciting!
